I don't know, maybe all the warm weather and sunshine today affected my mood, but I just felt like sharing. So I sifted through my inbox and found three songs that I thought were appropriate. The bands are from Florida, Pittsburgh, and somehwere in Texas, respectively. Download, listen, and if you like the songs, spread the word.
- Dish - This Ain't Livin' from Ma Raison De Vivre Ton Amour
- Reminds me of early Ben Kweller and maybe a bit of Cold War Kids. I haven't heard the full album yet, but looking forward to listening to Zombie Love Song.
- Dish on the web, MySpace.
- Black Moth Super Rainbow - Born On A Day the Sun Didn't Rise from Eating Us
- Produced by David Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, MGMT, Weezer), this is a bizarre psych-pop tune.
- The band is releasing this song on 7" red/orange vinyl for Record Store Day this weekend.
- Black Moth Super Rainbow on MySpace, Facebook. Pre-order Eating Us.
- The Gary - Damn Machines from Chub
- Is it just me, or is this like what it might sound like if you forced Johnny Cash to collaborate with Guided By Voices?
- The Gary on MySpace.
