Zeus The Golden Dogs The Dakota Tavern in Toronto, Ontario on July 29, 2009 Full Photo Set (23 photos) It turns out that last week included not just one repeat visit, but two. Even though I had been out to see Zeus earlier in July, I had such a good time that I felt like being at The Dakota Tavern again for the last show of their July residency. Glad I was there, not only for the good times, but also because Jay Ferguson (of Sloan) showed up to play a few songs with the band including one (of many) of my Sloan favorites, The Lines You Amend. Zeus The Dakota Tavern filled to capacity quite early in the night, so Zeus was once again playing to a packed house. Just like last time, there was definitely a great feel to the room, and the addition of Jay Ferguson just added to it all. In other words, it was another good night out, and Zeus rocked the crowd just as expected. I always enjoy watching Dave Azzolini (vocals, guitar), Jessica Grassia (keyboards, vocals), Taylor Knox (drums), and the rest of the band perform.
